New York, NY – This summer 2017, GUESS will make its debut at the annual Miami SwimShow, one of the largest swimwear tradeshows in the world located at the Miami Beach Convention Center from July 22nd to 25th. Among the industry’s most established and long-standing exhibitions, the SwimShow attracts annually more than 7,500 brands and buyers from 60 countries across the world and showcases in excess of 2,500 lines. The tradeshow will be hosted in the heart of South Beach, a vibrant destination with stunning beaches and an exciting nightlife.
GUESS will showcase its Spring/Summer 2018 Beachwear collection, a delivery that will be distributed globally with the goal of developing the brand’s market penetration in under-represented areas, such as Northern Europe, USA and Asia. The GUESS SS18 Beachwear collection is inspired by lively tropical moods to urban influences with retro vibes.

The collection’s palette of electric hues, such as bright purple, water green and peacock blue, enhance the tropical palms and exotic flowers seen on the prints. Metal details and studs on all-over prints toughen up a romantic and bohemian mood. Flower compositions alternate with patterns inspired by Middle Eastern motifs, in dynamic shades including summer orange and deep jungle green.

The carefree spirit of the Californian hot season is expressed in fun prints with floral motifs and geometric patterns, along with deconstructed gingham and stripes, and all highlighted by bold pop colors. Lycra and microfiber underlie statement silhouettes, from stunning monokinis to a vast assortment of bikinis in different styles. Most pieces are designed for a smooth transition from beach to party, and can be paired with stylish cover-ups.

For him, palms and flowers bloom in all-over prints that instantly evoke idyllic tropical paradises, in a clash of bright hues such as vivid blue and shocking pink. The beautiful Huntington Beach, an iconic Californian destination and the birthplace of surfing, is the source of inspiration for typical surf motifs on prints. Basic and light nylon featured on shorts in various on-trend styles, along with lycra and a special stretch nylon capable of providing the perfect mix of lightness and performance.

Vivid pop colors such as fuchsia and yellow reveal a street-chic energy and vitality that becomes decidedly funky when combined with animal prints on bomber jackets and dresses. Girly garments are embellished with glitter and tulle, for a glamorous twist, or with placed prints, for an urban-rock flair. Denim, mostly in black and grey washes, come with studs, rips and sequins for an added dash of dynamism, while a special brushed denim provides added softness and warmth. Statement overwear in mixed fabrics includes a denim jacket lined with stars-and-stripes printed fur, and a twill parka lined with fuchsia fur.

Friday, January 13, 2017 — This spring 2017, GUESS is proud to introduce multi-platform recording artist, actor, and social media sensation, Joe Jonas as the face of GUESS’ new underwear line, “Hero”, set to launch this February 2017. The singer stars in the advertising campaign alongside GUESS Girl Charlotte McKinney in a series of seductive images that showcase the inaugural men’s underwear line and also the women’s lingerie collection.
Joe Jonas kicked off his singing career in 2005 when he and his brothers, Nick and Kevin, started the pop-rock band, the Jonas Brothers, selling 17 million albums worldwide. A few years later, Jonas launched his acting career starring in multiple Disney Channel original movies and TV shows. Last year, Joe re-launched his singing career as lead vocalist of his new band, DNCE, whose first single “Cake by the Ocean” won two platinum records. Jonas is also a much-followed influencer in the global social sphere, reaching 8 million followers on Twitter, 5 million on Facebook and 4.5 million on Instagram – and counting.
The campaign, art directed by Paul Marciano, Chief Creative Officer for GUESS?, Inc., and shot by Yu Tsai, one of the world’s most talented and sought after celebrity and fashion photographers, captures Jonas and McKinney wearing the season’s most anticipated GUESS underwear and lingerie pieces. Former stylist to the Jonas Brothers, Avo Yermagyan, styles the duo in key denim pieces to balance out their ensembles. He is both featured solo and also clutching Charlotte in poses that make a warm evening in Havana even hotter.

The “Hero” collection’s main focus is comfort, enhancing the male figure and ensuring a perfect fit. The bothersome inner label is replaced by a flat print to offer a brand new underwear experience. The capsule includes a handful of core styles that will carry over from season to season. This season’s collection of women’s intimates is highlighted throughout the campaign. Chic lace panties and sexy push-up bras embrace every curve for a flawless fit and is offered in a color palette of navy, fuchsia and pink. Classic black and white cotton bralettes trimmed with logo-printed elastic bands offer a fashion-forward iconic look made to flatter every GUESS Girl.
