GUESS FW17: GUESS x A$AP Rocky London capsule collection

A$AP Rocky and his umbrella company, AWGE opened a New York-style bodega at the world famous department store, Selfridges on October 2, 2017 through October 11th.  Rocky felt it was important for London, and the many different parts of Europe, to experience first-hand what an authentic New York bodega looks like.  The AWGE Bodega, located in a hidden corner of the store’s lower ground floor, has aisles packed with food, toys, films in addition to the GUESS x A$AP Rocky London capsule.

The capsule’s pieces are inspired by vintage logo-centric styles from the GUESS archives.  The GUESS x A$AP Rocky Londoncollection leads with signature stripes, logo tee’s and an oversized denim jacket for fall. Long and short-sleeved pinstriped GUE$$ logo shirts are the core of the capsule and are dipped in orange, baby blue and pastel yellow tones. To balance out the collection, a light-wash 90’s icon oversized denim jacket embroidered with “$” in “GUE$$” on the back modernizes the timeless GUESS design and lends a subtle nod to the collaborator. The throwback vintage feel lends itself to mens and womens dressing.

The ‘Working Class Hero’ utilises vintage military surplus garments over classic tailored suits. Mixing the smart and the casual, this theme looks to the functional and timeless style of the Mod, elevating into the contemporary through modern fabrics and colours. Reworking the classic houndstooth into button down shirts and parkas, patterns take a more formal tailored look with warm brushed cotton and wool blends. Rich, deep greens and juxtaposed against softer neutral tones bringing touches of modernity to traditional Mod pieces.

MANNED – Fall/Winter 2017

MANNED, de mannencollectie van het Belgische bedrijf JellyCoe, evolueert seizoen na seizoen en verovert stilaan zijn plaats in de wereld van stijlvolle homewear en bodywear. Dit seizoen wordt de collectie uitgebreid met bedlinnen en lederen pantoffels.

Tijdloze strepen en verfijnde dassenprints vormen het leidmotief van de collectie die zich kleurt in indigoblauw met accenten van mosterd en bordeaux met zwart. Nieuw in de collectie zijn de geweven doorknooppyjama’s in warm flanel.

Daarnaast biedt MANNED pyjama’s in luxueus gemerceriseerd katoen, zacht fluweel, terry en single jersey.

Joggings in fluweel of in American cotton vormen de geknipte outfits om thuis te flaneren of om mee naar de fitness te trekken. Korte en lange kamerjassen in fleece maken het aanbod compleet. De collectie omvat ook dekbedovertrekken en kussenslopen in dezelfde motieven.

Modieuze bodywear

De bodywear van MANNED bestaat uit slips en boxershorts in de kleuren en motieven van de collectie. Ze vormen een modieus alternatief voor de tijdloze basic kleuren zoals wit, chinégrijs en zwart. De fashioncollectie omvat 4 korte en 4 lange boxershorts. Alle bodywear van MANNED is gemaakt van Ökotex gecertifieerd katoen waarin 7 procent elastaan verwerkt is, wat een uitstekende elasticiteit en flexibiliteit garandeert zodat het ondergoed als gegoten zit. De hoogwaardige tailleband is “made in Belgium” en is super comfortabel. De basiscollectie bestaat uit 4 slipmodellen: een mini, een gewone slip, een boxershort en een lange short en drie bijhorende hemdjes waaronder een singlet en een T-shirt, met V-hals of met ronde hals. De fashioncollectie omvat 4 korte en 4 lange boxershorts.

MANNED voor de pantoffelheld
